It’s been 9 months since I wrote my original removing Google from my life article. So where am I now? I’m still using Google as my main search engine, I’m still using Gmail, and last but not least I have a Play Music subscription. So this whole removing Google from my life because of the direction the company is going hasn’t worked out for me. I really tried to use another search engine and failed. Using another gmail address involved a lot a work for what benefit? The one positive of this whole experiment was I moved my photos into Apple photos.
The idea was sound but honestly I wasn’t 100% committed to the idea. While Google and I don’t really get along we’re still homies.
