Board Posting Application

Project Overview

The Board Posting Application is a custom-built internal system developed for the Trustee’s Office to manage and publish board meeting materials. The application allows authorized staff to securely create, manage, and publish board agendas and related documents without relying on developers or manual publishing workflows.

The primary goal of the application was to streamline how board agendas are posted while maintaining strict control over access and document management.

The Challenge

Previously, posting board agendas required multiple steps and coordination between departments. This process created delays and increased the risk of errors when publishing important public-facing documents.

The Trustee’s Office needed a secure and easy-to-use system that would allow them to manage board postings themselves while ensuring only authorized users could access the administrative tools.

The Solution

I designed and developed a secure custom application that allows the Trustee’s Office to manage board agenda postings through a protected administrative interface.

Authorized users can log in to the system and:

• Create new board meeting entries
• Upload agendas and supporting documents
• Manage links to BoardDocs, meeting videos, and translations
• Control which items are publicly visible

The application integrates directly with the website so new board postings appear automatically once published.

Security & Access Control

Because the system manages official board documents, security was a critical component of the build. The application includes:

• Role-based access control
• Secure authentication for authorized staff
• Input validation and protection against unauthorized submissions
• Controlled document uploads and storage

This ensures that only approved personnel in the Trustee’s Office can publish or modify board agenda information.

Results

The Board Posting Application significantly improved the efficiency of posting board agendas and related materials. Staff can now manage postings independently, reducing turnaround time and minimizing technical dependencies.

The system also ensures that board information is published consistently and securely while maintaining full administrative control within the Trustee’s Office.
