CCSD Org Chart Application

I designed and developed a custom interactive organizational chart application for the Clark County School District to help staff and the public better understand the district’s leadership structure and departmental hierarchy. Large school districts often publish organizational charts as static documents, which are difficult to navigate and maintain. This application modernized that approach by providing an interactive, web-based visualization that allows users to explore the district structure dynamically.

The application was built using PHP for server-side processing along with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for the front-end interface. Data is structured and rendered dynamically to generate an expandable organizational hierarchy, allowing users to easily browse departments and leadership roles. The interface supports expanding and collapsing nodes, improving usability when navigating a large organization with many departments.

My role included application architecture, back-end development with PHP, front-end development, and UX design to ensure the platform was both scalable and easy to maintain. The system was structured to allow administrators to update organizational data efficiently without needing to redesign the interface.
