Getting Back Into RC

2026 is the year of RC for me. When I was a little kid I remember fondly my Tyco Bandit.

I took all the extra stuff apart on that RC and played with it until the battery died. One day I was scrolling through Temu like old people do for fun and decided to buy a RC boat. It all went downhill from there.

At first I got a Tamiya Highlift clone, changed just about everything in that truck, then I started working on my own custom RC trailer which is going to pull my new RC rally car and drone (that I will get someday). Then came RC Drift and I was obsessed. So obsessed I started taking notes on alignment, ackermann angle, caster, etc.. I spent weekends upgrading and aligning my car and I couldn’t get enough of it. When I slide it calms me. I focus on the car and the rest of the world just fades away. It reminds me of code. It’s Saturday night at 10:00 pm and I’m writing this blog post after I spent all day working on rcdriftempire.com.
