RC Drift Empire Is Live: My New Home for the RC Drift Community

Welcome to RC Drift Empire

Well, it’s happening. RC Drift Empire is live, and I’m pretty damn proud of it.

What started as an interest in RC drifting turned into a project that brought two of my favorite things together: building websites and obsessing over RC cars. Apparently, getting into a hobby wasn’t enough. I had to build an entire website around it too.

Sounds about right.

I’ve put a ton of work into this, and being able to finally share it feels amazing. RC Drift Empire gives drivers and tracks a place to connect, share their builds, find somewhere to drift, and learn from each other.

Back in August, I wrote about opening up beta accounts for drivers and tracks. Seeing that idea reach launch is a pretty special feeling.

One thing that stood out when I got into RC drifting was how much digging it took to find information. A track announcement might be on Facebook. A build might be on Instagram. The setup explanation you need might be buried somewhere in a YouTube video.

I wanted a place that made exploring the hobby easier. Somewhere you could find a track, check out other drivers, and ask a question without having to start your search all over again.

The RC drift track directory is a big part of that. Tracks give this hobby somewhere to happen. They bring people together, introduce new drivers to the community, and give everyone a reason to get their cars ready for the next session. Helping people discover those tracks matters to me.

Drivers have their own space too. You can explore the driver community, check out profiles, and see the cars people are building. I love that two people can start with the same chassis and end up with completely different builds. There’s always something interesting to look at, question, or add to your own growing list of things you probably don’t need to buy.

Probably.

There’s also RC drift news for following what’s happening in the hobby and an events and competitions page for finding things to put on your calendar.

If you’re trying to understand what a setup change actually does, the RC drift setup guides cover topics like suspension geometry, steering, shocks, and electronics. And when you have a question you want to talk through, The Pit community forum gives you a place to ask it.

You don’t need to be a sponsored driver or have some ridiculous build to belong here. Being interested in the hobby is enough. Ask questions. Share what you’re learning. Help someone who’s figuring out something you already struggled with.

That’s the kind of community I want to build.

I’ve built a lot of websites over the years, but launching something personal comes with a different feeling. Every decision becomes something you care about. You notice the little details. You keep thinking about what would make it more useful. Then you have to reach the point where you let people in and see what they do with it.

I’m proud that I got this here. I’m proud of the work that went into it, and I’m excited that people can finally use something I’ve spent so much time thinking about and building.

I still have a ton of ideas. Of course I do. But right now, I want to take a minute to enjoy this part.

If you’re into RC drifting, create an account and join RC Drift Empire. Look around, find your track, share your car, and let me know what you think.

I built this because I love the hobby. I can’t wait to see who shows up.
