Rasmus Lerdorf creator of PHP goes into why PHP Frameworks suck.

Why This Is Important For Me

For some insane reason I’ve felt guilty for using PHP frameworks, but almost 90% of the time they answer the problem that I’m trying to solve. For example, this very blog. I’ve struggled with whether I should create a blog engine from scratch. Why? Because using a PHP framework feels like cheating. But good ol Rasmus explains that I shouldn’t because I’ve answered the problem that I was trying to solve. Having a blog. While the whole talk is very good that particular part is really good.
